Bravo! My heartiest congrats to Igor & team on their well-deserved success. Almost the entire city of Rijeka participated in making of this little gem! I'm a big fan of Werner Herzog's documentaries and "Fiume o Morte" is on that highest level. It's a collaborative, "punk-spirited", humorous critique of POLITICAL PERFORMANCE, PROPAGANDA, and MILITARISM. It reconstructs the 1919~1920 occupation of Fiume (now Rijeka) by the Italian proto-fascist Gabriele D'Annunzio and it uses this historical ABSURDITY to MIRROR CURRENT POLITICAL, ANTI-DEMOCRATIC and WAR-MONGERING TRENDS, from Russia to America. A cautionary tale about the RISE of the GLOBAL FAR-RIGHT and a timely warning against the formation of AUTHORITARIANISM.
