Byobu FOLDING SCREENS as portable, freestanding "wind walls"=>from their antecedents in China and Japan to contemporary artists' appropriation of the medium as a barrier–cum–canvas and our fascination with DIGITAL and PROJECTION screens, they continue to divide, hide & REVEAL, reminding me that DUALITY is not our (only) REALITY. Divisions are apparent rather than fundamental and the SEPARATION we perceive is an ILLUSION. Everything is interconnected, all existence arises from a single, indivisible source of consciousness.
